Your Counsellor
Hi, I’m Chris. I’m an accredited counsellor with a Masters of Counselling. I specialise in counselling for men in regional areas of Australia. I’m here to listen.
I provide online telephone and online counselling for mental health issues, especially anxiety and depression, and any issues that you might not feel comfortable talking about with others. I also provide grief and loss counselling and counselling for people going through major life changes. You can also come to me if you are feeling “stuck” or burnt out in life and want to figure out how to move through this.

Part of my job as a counsellor is to help you identify and use your strengths and build new skills to manage stress, regulate moods and work through difficult times. Past clients have told me that they felt listened to and felt comfortable talking to me about issues they couldn’t talk to others about.
I provide online and telephone counselling for convenience, meaning there is no need to travel anywhere and you can be comfortable in your own home. I am also available after normal work hours meaning you don’t have to take time off work or out of your day’s schedule.
I completed my Masters in Counselling and am registered as a counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
What made me want to become a counsellor?
Becoming a counsellor wasn’t just a career choice for me — it was a calling rooted in my own lived experience. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by pain and despair, to reach a point where life feels unmanageable. As a suicide survivor, I’ve faced moments of complete hopelessness, but I’ve also discovered the resilience and strength that can emerge from those dark places.
It was through my own journey of recovery that I realised how powerful it is to be truly seen, heard, and supported. I experienced firsthand how professional guidance can help untangle the thoughts and feelings that seem impossible to navigate alone. This journey gave me a purpose: to be someone who can walk alongside others as they find their way to clarity, new paths, hope and healing.
I use my experience to create a service where clients feel safe to explore their issues without fear of judgment. I understand how hard it can be to open up, and I approach each session with empathy and respect, meeting you exactly where you are. My personal journey gives me understanding into the challenges you may be facing, but more importantly, it fuels my belief in your ability to overcome them.
Through counselling, my goal is to help you uncover your strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and rediscover a sense of purpose and connection. I don’t just see my role as a counsellor — I see it as a navigator in your rally, someone who will be beside you as you take the turns.
You’re not alone, and your story isn’t over. Together we can find a way forward.
